FAQ: Frequently asked questions about obtaining a driving licence
Can I obtain a licence if I have unpaid fines?
It all depends on what the penalty is.
If the fine is just for an administrative offence (for example, travelling without a valid ticket on public transport) and is not related to a driving ban, you can take the exams.
However, if you were caught driving without a licence, drunk, or committing another serious violation of the KET and you were prohibited from obtaining a driving licence (a ban on obtaining a licence) for a certain period of time - then you will not be allowed to take the Regitra exam until the prohibition period has ended.

How long is a passed theory exam valid for?
A passed theory exam is valid for one year at Regitra. During this time, you must pass the practical exam. If you don't make it, you will have to retake the theory.
Where can I get a medical certificate and first aid course certificate?
You will receive a medical certificate at your polyclinic or private family clinic (don't forget to tell them that it is required for a driving licence). First aid courses are organized by medical institutions, specialised centres or driving schools themselves.
What if I do not pass the theory exam?
Don't worry, it happens to many people! You can register for another attempt no earlier than the following working day. The most important thing is not to give up and practice solving KET tests so that you feel more confident next time.
