Category A, A1 and A2 Practical-Exam Procedure at Regitra
BASIC MANOEUVRES FOR CATEGORY A PRACTICAL EXAM:
Driving in a narrow lane at the speed of a slowly walking pedestrian. To perform this manoeuvre, a strip 20 m long and 1.5 m wide is marked on the site with marking lines and/or 1.5 m high markers;
Driving in figure eight, whose outer circles have a diameter of 8 m, inner circles have a diameter of 6 m;
Slalom between three markers. The distance between adjacent markers during the examination with an A1 category vehicle is 6 m; Category A – 8 m;
Acceleration at a speed of 30–40 km/h and stop exactly in the specified place (at the STOP line). To perform this manoeuvre, a free stretch of road of at least 50 m in length or a section of the same length on the site must be selected;
Make a tight turn left or right. To perform this manoeuvre, lanes intersecting at right angles are marked on the site, the width of which is 3.5 m, the length from the intersection is at least 6 m, the inner radius of the turn is 2 m;
Ride around the obstacle, driving at a speed of at least 50 km/h;
Stop while driving at a speed of at least 50 km/h.
EXAMINATION DESCRIPTION
2. During the examination in an A1, A2 or A category vehicle, it must be checked whether the examinee is able to:
2.1. operate the motorcycle with the engine off. To perform this manoeuvre, cones mark the beginning and end of the lane (length - 22 m, width - 3 m) and a temporary parking place perpendicular to this lane (length - 3 m, width - 2 m), located 10 m from the cone marking the beginning of the lane, on the right side. When performing this manoeuvre, the examinee must:
2.1.1. push the motorcycle forward by walking on the left side of the motorcycle, holding the steering wheel with both hands; stop the motorcycle by using the brakes properly;
2.1.2. push the motorcycle backwards into the temporary parking place while holding the steering wheel with at least one hand;
2.1.3. place the motorcycle on the centre stand or support it on the side stand, then remove it from them;
2.1.4. push the motorcycle out of the temporary parking place and, after turning to the right, push it forward another 10 m;

2.2. drive in a narrow lane straight at a constant speed next to an examinee walking slowly (about 1 m/s). To perform this manoeuvre, the beginning and end of the lane (length: 20 m; width: 1.5 m) are marked with cones. The examinee does not start driving from the cones marking the beginning of the lane, but a little further in order to reach the appropriate speed at the beginning of the lane;

2.3. ride in a figure eight. To perform this manoeuvre, cones mark the corners of the rectangle (size 6 x 12 m) in which the examinee drives in a figure-of-eight and the centers of the figure-of-eight circles, with a distance of 4 m between them. The examinee:
2.3.1. starts the manoeuvre from the short side of the rectangle;
2.3.2. rides along the rectangle and turns left;
2.3.3. must ride in a figure eight at a constant speed while properly leaning the motorcycle;
2.3.4. must look in the right direction so that the turning radius is as small as possible and the motorcycle does not go outside the rectangle marked with cones. A slight exit outside the rectangle is allowed, if the examinee is able to drive smoothly and basically correctly;

2.4. drive a snake without stopping between six cones arranged in a straight line slowly and quickly (at a speed of at least 30 km/h). The distance between adjacent cones when driving slowly is 3 m; when riding quickly, 8 m. When starting the manoeuvre, the motorcycle must be in the line formed by the cones in front of the first cone. The examinee:
2.4.1. when riding the slalom slowly, may perform the manoeuvre by starting from the first cone, and when driving fast - a little further, to reach a speed of at least 30 km/h at the beginning of the snake;
2.4.2. must weave between the cones, properly control the accelerator, rear wheel brake and clutch;
2.4.3. after the last cone, return to the starting line and drive straight for a few meters;

2.5. go around the obstacle at a speed of at least 50 km/h. To perform this manoeuvre, the beginning and end of the lane (length - 33 m, width - 1 m) is marked with cones. The examinee does not start driving from the cones that mark the beginning of the lane, but a little further to reach the appropriate speed at the beginning of the lane. When performing this manoeuvre, the examinee must:
2.5.1. enter between the cones marking the beginning of the lane at a speed of at least 50 km/h;
2.5.2. without stopping to go around the cone located 15 metres forward of the cone marking the beginning of the lane and 2 metres to the left of the left edge of the lane;
2.5.3. after driving no more than 18 metres, return to the starting line in the marked lane;

2.6. accelerate at a speed of 30–40 km/h and stop exactly at the specified place. To perform this manoeuvre, the beginning and end of the lane (length - 17 m, width - 1.5 m) is marked with cones. The examinee does not start driving from the cones that mark the beginning of the lane, but a little further to reach the appropriate speed at the beginning of the lane. When performing this manoeuvre, the examinee must:
2.6.1. enter between the cones marking the beginning of the lane at a speed of at least 30 km/h;
2.6.2. start braking only after passing the cones marking the beginning of the lane;
2.6.3. release the accelerator and brake using the braking force of both brakes;
2.6.4. brake evenly, without significant changes in braking force;
2.6.5. to stop after reaching the cones marking the end of the lane;
2.6.6. engage first gear before stopping;

2.7. drive a tight left or right turn. Traffic is marked with cones for this manoeuvre
lane (width – 3 m) and a parking space perpendicular to it (length – 3 m, width – 2 m). The examinee:
2.7.1. before starting the manoeuvre, must park the motorcycle with the front wheel at the edge of the traffic lane (carriageway);
2.7.2. after the examiner indicates which way (left or right) to drive, may choose which foot to rest on the ground before starting to drive. The examiner stands in front of the examinee outside the marked traffic lane;
2.7.3. leave the parking space by turning into the traffic lane across its width;
2.7.4. drive a few meters straight ahead;

2.8. brake when driving at a speed of at least 50 km/h (when instructed by the examiner). To perform this manoeuvre, the beginning of the lane (width - 1.5 m) is marked with cones. The examinee starts driving not from the cones marking the beginning of the lane, but a little further, so that he reaches a speed of at least 50 km/h at the beginning of the lane. When performing this manoeuvre, the examinee must:
2.8.1. enter between the cones marking the beginning of the lane at a speed of at least 50 km/h;
2.8.2. start braking only when instructed by the examiner;
2.8.3. release the accelerator and, using the braking force of both brakes, brake to a safe stop after traveling as little distance as possible.
