Category B and B1 Practical-Exam Manoeuvres at Regitra
All manoeuvres are performed on the road during the test.
3. During the examination with a B1 or B category vehicle, it must be checked whether the examinee is able to:
3.1. accelerate to a speed of 30–40 km/h and stop exactly at the specified place. To perform this manoeuvre, a free stretch of road of at least 50 m in length or a section of the same length on the site must be selected;
3.2. using reverse gear and changing direction of travel no more than three times to turn around:
3.2.1. in a parking area— in an 8 m wide lane so that the vehicle does not drive outside the lane. Lane boundaries are marked with marking lines and/or markers 0.3–0.5 m high;
3.2.2. on a two-way road with a carriageway width of 6–8 m, with sidewalks so that the wheels of the vehicle do not touch the edges of the sidewalk. When turning on the road, driveways or entrances beside the road must not be used;
Reverse gear can be engaged no more than twice for the manoeuvre in the restricted area. The vehicle’s wheels must not touch the edges of the pavement.
3.3. while driving in reverse and after engaging the reverse gear no more than once, park the vehicle in a temporary parking space on the right side of the road parallel to the edge of the carriageway (sidewalk) so that the vehicle driven by the examinee:
3.3.1. when starting the manoeuvre, stop no closer than 50 cm, but no further than 1 m from the side of the stationary vehicle;
3.3.2. during the manoeuvre, drive no further than 3 m from the vehicle standing in front (the distance between the front of the examinee's driven vehicle and the rear of the vehicle standing in front);
3.3.3. after completing the manoeuvre, be no closer than 1 m but no further than 2 m from the vehicle in front (the distance between the front of the examinee's driven vehicle and the rear of the vehicle in front), parallel to the edge of the pavement with its right-hand wheels no further than 40 cm from the edge of the pavement;
When starting the manoeuvre, the distance to the next car can be about one metre. When parking a car, it is possible to move away from the car in front by no more than three metres, and at the end of the manoeuvre this gap must decrease to one to two metres. The vehicle’s wheels closer to the sidewalk should not be more than 40 centimetres away from it.
3.4. while driving in reverse and after engaging the reverse gear no more than once, park the vehicle in a temporary parking space on the right side of the road diagonally or perpendicular to the edge of the carriageway (sidewalk) so that the vehicle driven by the examinee:
3.4.1. when starting the manoeuvre, stop no closer than 50 cm, but no further than 1 m from the side of the stationary vehicle;
3.4.2. after completing the manoeuvre, be no closer than 50 cm, but no further than 1 m from the vehicle parked next to it, parallel to the vehicle parked next to it or parallel and between the lines marking the parking space, no further than 40 cm from the line marking the end of the parking space, if the parking space is marked;
After parking the car, the distance to the adjacent car must be between half a meter and one meter. Also, you must stop no closer than 40 centimetres to the end line. When parking, the reverse gear can be engaged no more than twice.
When practising, count each time you engage reverse and take advantage of opportunities to correct the manoeuvre.
3.5. leave the temporary parking place (parallel to the edge of the sidewalk - after turning on the reverse gear no more than once);
3.6. enter and leave a temporary parking space on an uphill or downhill slope. These manoeuvres can be performed with the manoeuvres described in points 3.3 and 3.5 respectively;
3.7. stop and start again on a hill so that the vehicle does not roll back;
3.8. reverse while turning to the right or to the left without leaving the traffic lane and stop parallel to the edge of the carriageway no further than 1 m away from it. To perform this manoeuvre, lanes intersecting at right angles are marked on the test site, the width of which is 3.5 m, the length from the intersection is at least 6 m, and the inner radius of the turn is 2 m.
4. If the manoeuvres described in points 3.3 and 3.4 are performed on the site, instead of a stationary vehicle, 1.5 m high markers imitating its dimensions (4 x 2 m) may be used.
